You deserve it. The U.S. Men’s National Team played like Brazil in the first half of the FIFA Confederation Cup Championship, then Brazil played like Brazil in the second half. The result: a 3-2 loss. The general media is jumping all over this as a second half meltdown. It think that’s “shite” (noticed how I used a European word when talking about soccer). The U.S. has a lot to be proud of. During the course of this tournament, the team transformed from a bumbling group of talented, but unfocused, players to a team that knocked off the number one team in the world and then scored two goals against a powerhouse that hadn’t let up a goal in over 300 minutes. I’m a soccer fan, and this team was fun to watch. The veterans lead, the young’ns are gifted, and the fans are hopeful. Most of all, when watching these games, you get the feeling that the team finally seems to know what they’re doing and I think it starts with coach Bob Bradley.
