Claudette, that was quite a ramble. But I believe I can summarize your thoughts:
1) You like Canada’s victory. 2) You prayed for Canada to win. 3) Only after asking god to pause his busy schedule of running the universe in order to grant your team victory in a meaningless game, you then threw in as an aside that you hoped he would also help out people who are in desperate need.
Does that just about sum it up?

As I prayed for the team ,I also prayed that help would be sent for all the people in need…health,money,jobs,peace etc.

This is intriguing to me for various reason (although intriguing only applies to the first reason and horrified applies to the rest):
1. Is that a Prometheus board the kid is reading the essay in front of? Those are awesome.
2. All I could think about while watching Rollie Fingers make out with his girlfriend was, “How the F*ck can she stand that enormous gob of hair in her mouth and all over her face?”
3. It is a terrible terrible thing to have to watch a friend make out, especially when the making out involves his girlfriend giving his tongue a BJ.
