Los Suns beat the Lakers last night to even the series at 2 apiece. But the most remarkable thing about this is the extraordinary amount of abuse Steve Nash has taken along the way and still led his team to victory. In game 3, which Phoenix also won, Steve Nash had his nose broken while colliding with Derek Fisher’s shoulder. What did he do? He shoved it back in place and kept playing! Don’t believe me? As if that doesn’t solidify his tough guy bonifides, then take a look at the gash he suffered in the clinching game against San Antonio. And yes, he kept playing despite requiring six stitches in his FACE. And yes, they won the game despite Nash playing with one friggin’ eye.
I like how he had to open his good eye extra wide to compensate for the busted one. Just for added effect, here are two more pictures of a previous broken nose that Nash suffered, that prove, in case any of you were wondering, that Steve Nash is not afraid of a little blood.
