Ron Artest is an Insane Person

I’m going to take a guess and say that Ron Artest has some legitimate mental health issues.  If you couldn’t tell from history of punching random fans in the face, elbowing opponents in the head, joking about killing a teammate, etc., then I’m sure you can finally be convinced by his last year’s worth of crazy:  First there was the Michael Jackson Tribute Rap, followed by his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in his underwear, followed by his admission that he drank Hennessy during halftime when he was on the Bulls, to the final kicker: the world’s most offensive well-meaning song of all time.  I’m sure the Afghan people are glad that you are shedding light on their suffering, Ron.

um, how can anything be both offensive and well-meaning at the same time?! if anyone is offended by this, ok fine. i’m just not sure i share those same sentiments. is ron crazy? yes indeed, but this actually sounds like something positive he is trying to do to raise awareness about something truly awful.

  • Yes, he’s trying to shed light on someone’s suffering. But his method is to write a love song to her? The women of Afghanistan don’t need Ron Artest hitting on them in a song, they need national infrastructure.

it’s better than nothing and a lot more than anyone else is doing for their suffering. it’s hard when their own country doesn’t give a shit about them! that’s how these autrocities occur in the first place!
