Holy hell almighty!

Not much to say here, as I didn’t get to see it, but this native Michigander is pleased as punch that the Lions have finally broken their 19-game losing streak by beating the Washington Stereotypes 19-14.

From the clips I saw, Matthew Stafford actually looks like a somewhat legit NFL quarterback. Calvin Johnson and Kevin Smith look like Calvin Johnson and Kevin Smith. The defense probably did okay against the Walking Stereotypes’ sh*tty offense.

Wonderful.

Unfortunately, the state of Michigan did not get to view this historic occasion, as the NFL’s blackout policy means that only about 30,000 people (plus the DC Metro area) got to see the game.

Better relish it, Detroiters, and make sure you watch the replay whenever it shows up on the NFL Network. Because I looked at the Lions’ schedule this year. You probably won’t get to see them win again until 2010. Well, at least the Red Wings are starting soon…
