Bad case of cotton mouth.
So a couple days ago Mark Twan posted a piece on Performance Killing Drugs, specifically marijuana. Now he looks like a genius, because today we found out that Cubs catcher Geovany Soto tested positive for marijuana while playing for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. Soto claimed it was a one time event, but I doubt it. Luckily for Soto, and Cubs fans’ sanity, Soto won’t have to miss any games because he didn’t fail an MLB test. So basically, he smoked weed, got caught, still got to play for Puerto Rico, the positive test comes out after he has turned his slow start around this season, and he doesn’t get penalized besides for the court of public opinion which will be talking about something else by tomorrow anyway. So basically, there’s no story here.

Wait are PKD’s drugs or just playing for the Cubs?
BA-ZING!
UPDATE: Lou Pinella just admitted to smoking weed back in the day.
“I have smoked dope one time in my life and it didn’t do a damn thing for me, and I never tried it again. I’m fortunate for that, but a lot of people do, I mean, you can buy it in California from a pharmacy.”
Thanks for the insight Lou.
