And he had that big press conference where he apologized to his wife and gave her a gigantic diamond ring to try to make up for having publicly humiliated her? And how it was the biggest story in sports that year and one of the biggest trials in US history? And how now nobody mentions that when his name comes up anymore even while other athletes are constantly dogged by past incidents?
